We are excited to announce the 2nd Biennial Asia Pacific Basava Convention, which will be held on 3rd May 2025 in Perth, Australia. This transformative event will bring together a global audience to celebrate the timeless teachings of Guru Basava, with a focus on this year’s theme: “Transcending Ignorance with Knowledge.”
The Basava Samiti Asia Pacific’s mission to Engage, Educate, Empower, and Enlighten will be at the heart of this convention.

Instalinga Meditation: a core practice rooted in Guru Basava’s teachings, involves quiet seated meditation and guides participants toward inner peace and spiritual growth. Istalinga Meditation differs from other types of meditation primarily in its use of the Istalinga, a sacred personal emblem that symbolises the divine and serves as the focal point of meditation. Unlike more common forms of meditation that may focus on breath, mantras, or mindfulness, Istalinga Meditation centers on the physical presence of the Istalinga, worn by the practitioner. Beginners will be warmly accommodated within the sessions, with volunteers offering guidance and support to help them engage meaningfully in this meditative practice, regardless of prior experience. You are welcome to attend the conference without attending the meditation sessions.
Newcomers are welcome to attend the 2nd Asia Pacific Basava Convention without any requirement to join Basava Samiti of Asia Pacific Ltd (BSAPAC) or take part in future events. This is a chance to engage with the community, expand your knowledge, and gain spiritual insights, with no expectation of ongoing involvement or commitment to the Charity. As a non-political, non-religious organisation, BSAPAC embraces diversity, accommodating people from various languages and backgrounds.
