About the Canberra Chapter

In September 2024, the general body of Basava Samiti Asia Pacific (BSAPAC) approved the establishment of the Canberra Chapter to enhance the charity’s operations in the capital city of Australia. The chapter provides technical expertise in specialist writing, risk mitigation, financial operations, and audit support to the successful Learn2Grow Program. This decision was driven by the chapter’s increasing popularity and participation from diverse communities across Canberra.
As a city known for attracting migrants and students from around the world, Canberra offers an excellent platform to establish community harmony and promote BSAPAC’s values. The Canberra Chapter was created to ensure the seamless operation of the charity and to further engage with local multicultural groups.
On 29th September 2024, Mr. Vikas Chinchansur took the BSAPAC Oath on behalf of the executive committee members. He will focus on collaborating with Canberra’s diverse cultural communities, planning key events, and preparing for the first Basava Jayanthi celebrations in Canberra in May 2025.
